Improving Evaluation Practices in Transport: Towards a Better Integration of Political and Technical Prospective

The third and final TRANS-TALK workshop addressed the question of how to improve evaluation practices in transport through the better integration of technical and political perspectives.

Best practice evaluation guidelines were presented and discussed for several key transport areas. Through a series of roundtables, the workshop also deliberated on the future of the Common Transport Policy at the crossroads between subsidiarity and European-added value; the role of transport research for evaluation and in the New Framework Programme; and the importance of consolidating a better interaction between the demand and supply sides in evaluation and how to achieve this
