The research results of SSH-FUTURES project are available in publicly accessible reports. The first report on “Impact Pathways of Social Sciences and Humanities” represents the theoretical basis for the project and the aims to address a wider audience in the SSH research community. The document lays out the relation between the different types of knowledge and their impact pathways into society, economy and public policies. Starting from the question of the usefulness or, for that matter, uselessness of different forms of research in the social sciences and the humanities it examines various common ways of thinking about their impact. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses an alternative and more adequate way of organising research and relaying knowledge into society could be formulated.
