| Objectives |
The aim of the study is to bring into the knowledge database of the Commission detailed technical information on the status of the network - on a section by section and country by country level -, which investments that have been made, which that are foreseen until 2010 and the cost related to them. An outlook ahead to the year 2015 will be included. Not only member States are included, but also East European countries mentioned in the TINA report. The study will focus on the full trans-European transport network in an enlarged European Union (TEN-T/TINA network). Investment costs will be distinguished in costs for studies, costs for building or upgrading the infrastructure network and maintenance costs. The study also give global investment figures agglomerated to NUTS3 level on overall investments into national, regional and local transport infrastructure in Member States and candidate countries for accession. A distinction will be made between investments in the trans-European transport network and investments additional to this network. However, the focus of the study will be on the trans-European transport network in an enlarged European Union (TEN-T/TINA network). |
