Project MOVE-TOGETHER
Acronym MOVE-TOGETHER Title Raising citizens awareness and appreciation of EU research on sustainabletransport in the urban environment Co-ordinator ISIS, Italy Client European Commission, DG Research Duration January 2007 - December 2009 Person Responsible Liana Giorgi Project Website www.move-together.net Objectives The MOVE TOGETHER project will focus on raising citizens’ awareness and appreciation of EU research on sustainable transport in the urban environment. The ultimate aim of this awareness exercise will be to let people become fully conscious of the sustainability (economic, social and environmental) implications of their transport choices in and for the urban environment in which they live, and where the future generations are supposed to live. By the same token, people will be made aware of what EU transport research is doing and how the research results can help – if implemented in our cities – to make urban transport more sustainable, i.e. safer, more secure, more efficient and better for the environment, and to improve the quality of life.
