| Objectives |
The main concern of this project was the analysis of the interaction between ethnic (and national) identity and other social roles. Such an analysis provides the grounds for accounting for the conditions under which particular roles predominate over others. Austrian Jews were selected as a case study. The history and historical experience of Jews provide an exemplary of multiple identity with respect to both the intrinsic formation of identity and changing circumstances. |
