| Objectives |
This project was part of the programme TIP (Programme on Technology, Information and Policy) which was implemented jointly by the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO) and the Research Centre Seibersdorf with the aim of promoting the development and diffusion of innovations in the public and private sectors, i.e. the enrichment of what is referred to as the 'national innovation system'. The role of policies, and in particular of research and development policies, is of particular importance in this connection. Within this framework, the study investigated the interaction and coordination among political actors in the field of technology assessment and evaluation, a topic of particular importance given the absence of competence distribution and the lack of concise organization in the field. |
