The European Journal of the Social Sciences – Innovation is the international quarterly research journal of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Comparative Research in the Social Sciences (ICCR) published in collaboration with the European Association for the Advancement of Social Sciences (EA). The journal specialises on multi-disciplinary, applied and comparative research on Europe in the following areas: European Developments – Policies and Politics; Social Policy Analysis – Social Structures and Integration; Society, Technology and Research; Environment and Sustainability; Transport Policy Evaluation and Analysis. The journal is organised in thematic issues and relies on an extensive network of guest editors.

Each issue includes five to six academic articles and a review section on European research relevant to the topic under consideration. This review focuses in particular on ongoing and planned projects under the European Framework Research Programmes and other related activities.

Twice a year the journal publishes a set of book reviews and / or debates on topical themes relevant to the European project of integration.

The journal is published four times a year. These four issues constitute one volume. An annual index and title page is bound in the last issue of the volume.
