Future 1: ‘Steady growth’

There is steady economic growth overall and an increase of trade. Production and consumption diversify and there is a flexibilisation of labour. Stability criteria are dealt with flexibly. There is an increase both of large corporations and SMEs. Intangibles rise. Efficiency increases.

Future 2: ‘Stabilisation at low level’
Economy grows but at a low rate. International trade stabilises likewise at a low growth rate. There is a higher degree and scope for monopolies and, as a result, several SMEs go out of business. The value of intangibles decreases.

Future 3: ‘Recession’
Recession deepens in Europe and abroad. The economic crisis impacts on all economic sectors, on social relations and on the quality of life.  Larger corporations and numerous SMEs go out of business. Unemployment rises dramatically.

Future 4: ‘Ecological sustainable time economy’
The economy is re-organised according to sustainable development principles. Ecological concerns determine economic goals and strategies. This corresponds to a time economy that seeks time quality, synchronisation and punctuality.
