Expert Panel Consultations
The FORESIGHT for TRANSPORT project, running under the Key Action ‘Sustainable Mobility and Intermodality’ of the Fifth Framework Programme with the support of DG Energy and Transport, held a series of Expert Panel Consultations in Semmering in Austria in the week of June 3-7, 2002 on the following subjects:
Panel I: Energy, Environment and Transport
Panel II: Information Society Technologies and Transport
Panel III: Enlargement and Transport
Panel IV: Democratic Governance and Transport
The objective of the Expert Panel Consultations was to identify medium- and long-term trends and developments in non-transport policy fields and how they relate or should relate to transport in view of achieving sustainable mobility. The conclusions of these meetings can be read in a series of consultation documents. See Publications.
A second round of expert consultations took place in Vienna in October 2003. This was a small meeting of 15 experts brought together to provide feedback to the results of the project and, specifically, the transport impact pathways and the monitoring system.
