Second Wave
The second wave of the Delphi survey of the Foreisght for Transport project was implemented in the period between June and September 2003.
The questionnaire was developed on the basis of the answers provided to the first wave questionnaire. It had three main objectives:
First, to re-assess critical factors and futures about external developments that might be of relevance for developments regarding mobility patterns and the transport system on the basis of information gained through the first wave questionnaire.
Second, to take the analysis a step further and gain insights about impact pathways linking non-transport or external developments with transport.
Third, to obtain feedback on trends regarding key transport and non-transport variables.
The questionnaire was sent only to those 164 experts who replied to the first wave. 95 responded to the second-wave questionnaire, bringing the longitudinal response rate to 58 per cent.
