	ETIS-Link Summary ETIS-LINK is the platform for the development and launching of ETIS. It is a thematic network to promote the ETIS concept to potential users in the European Commission, in Member States and in Accession States and to steer the development of ETIS. It is a three-year project running from August 2002 to July 2005. Besides the elements of a traditional Thematic Network, it contains other elements like a steering committee, research activities and pilot testing and usage. The goals of ETIS-LINK are: Support the development of the database and system interface for ETIS. Involve potential ETIS users in the development process - make clear its potential, ensure that their needs are taken into account, and work with "pilot users" to test the system. Deal with issues surrounding the implementation and sustainability of ETIS that are not being dealt with by the developers (example, legal, financial, organisational and maintenance issues).
