	ETIS-BASE Summary ETIS-BASE is responsible for the development of the reference database, which will be the core element of the European Transport policy Information System (ETIS). This European database covering the EU 25 and EEA will become the reference database for European strategic modeling and focuses on TEN-T policy issues. ETIS-BASE will therefore provide: The repeatable methodology for development of a consistent database. A reference database comprising a: socio-economic data set; freight transport demand data set; passenger transport demand data set; European transport network data input; freight transport service and cost data set; passenger transport service and cost data set; and an external effects data set. The different data sets cover the data material needed to calculate indicators that are needed to answer TEN-T policy questions and prepared calculations of a selection of the most important indicators.
